Carter Mountain Orchard, located next to Michie Tavern and mere minutes from Monticello, is open mid-April through November (and weekends in December). The fun starts in the spring with apple blossom time, a craft festival, and the chance to check out the view early in the year. In the summer, you can head up the hill and pick-your-own tree-ripened peaches, or purchase Ready-Picked fruit in our market. You'll also find nectarines, white-fleshed peaches, fresh local veggies, and summer apples - perfect for applesauce and cooking.
